ABOUT

Since 2009 Rottofest has been the festival equivalent of a hideaway that you’ve always loved. The one you came across, maybe just by chance, maybe by word-of-mouth, that you’ve shared with your friends and vowed to go back, year after year, to relive the experience.
Whether it’s seeing some of the best Australian and international comedians across multiples stages, or the diverse music line-up that ranges from chilled to full on party, Rottofest has something for everyone.

Picture biking it from a comedy show to catch your favourite band and enjoying Rottnest’s incredible surrounds, all while trying to capture that perfect Quokka selfie. It really is the ultimate way to kick off the festival season.

Previous comedy performers at Rottofest include: Matt Okine, Dave Callan, Anthony Jeselnik (USA), Troy Kinne, Donnell Rawlings (USA), Joel Creasey, Heath Franklin’s Chopper, Greet Fleet, Steady Eddy, Ronny Chieng, Dave Thornton and Merrick Watts while Tame Impala, Art vs Science, Andy Bull, Sticky Fingers, Sugar Army, Stillwater Giants, Sun City and many more have all rocked the music stage.

ROTTNEST BUS TIMETABLE

TIPS

  • Show your Festival Pass at Pedal and Flipper, located behind Hotel Rottnest on Bedford Avenue, to receive 2 for 1 bike hire!
  • Respect the native flora and fauna. While we all love a good quokka selfie, do not touch or feed them while doing so.
  • Ensure you have valid ID and appropriate wristbands to enter venues at all times.
  • Pace yourself and drink plenty of water. Rottofest will not tolerate intoxicated and/or abusive people.
  • Respect the Indigenous burial sites.
  • Heckling comedians is not cool.
  • Please think of your neighbours and be mindful of noise levels after midnight.
  • Mainland laws do apply on Rottnest and are enforced by local police. Remember it is compulsory to wear a helmet while riding a bike and street drinking is illegal.
  • Please keep Rottnest beautiful! Rubbish bins are situated all over the Island so there is no excuse for littering.
